Our Performance Style
The Pictures Band is a real, working band made up of experienced musicians who perform together constantly across Texas. We’re not a random collection of players assembled for one event — we’re a tight, organic dance band with chemistry, personality, and a genuine love for what we do.
When you invite us to perform for your wedding, our goal is simple: to create a celebration that feels polished, fun, and unforgettable for everyone in the room. We don’t just play in the background — we bring energy, read the crowd, engage the room, and help keep the dance floor full all night long.
From Timeless Classics to Late-Night Singalongs, our repertoire spans decades of favorites your guests will actually want to hear and dance to. Whether your crowd loves Motown, soul, 80s favorites, country, 90s/2000s alt, romantic classics, or packed-floor party songs, we know how to shape the night so it feels natural, exciting, and true to you.

Our Wedding Services
We offer ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception options, so once we know what you’re envisioning, we can recommend the setup that best fits your timeline, guest count, and overall vibe.
For receptions, we can provide a complete band sound system and wireless microphones when needed. For larger venues or more complex ceremony and cocktail logistics, we’re also happy to work seamlessly with your venue’s AV team or provide our own solutions — whichever is the smoothest and most reliable fit for your space.
The Pictures Band is available in a variety of configurations, from a more intimate group to a larger high-impact showpiece band experience. We also offer a high-energy horn section option, Fresh2D, featuring interactive, dancing horn players full of personality. For couples wanting more of a country direction, we can also add fiddle and lean into that vibe when it fits the room.
We can tailor everything from musical flow to attire to match the tone of your event, whether you’re planning something black-tie elegant, modern and upscale, rustic and relaxed, or an all-out dance party.

Do you handle ceremonies too?
Yes — ceremony music can absolutely be added. Many couples use their venue or DJ for ceremony audio, but depending on timing, layout, and logistics, we can often provide a simple ceremony setup as an add-on as well.
Do you provide sound/PA and microphones?
For most weddings, yes. We can provide a complete band sound system along with a wireless microphone for toasts and announcements if needed. If your venue, planner, or AV team already has production in place, we’re also happy to work seamlessly within that setup.
How long do you perform?
Most wedding receptions are built around a four-hour window, including breaks, but we tailor the flow to your timeline — from grand entrance and dinner through toasts, dance sets, and the end of the night.
Do you take breaks?
Yes — typically short breaks that fit naturally into the flow of the evening. We coordinate with your planner or timeline so everything feels smooth and seamless.
Can you learn our first dance or a special song?
Often, yes — with enough advance notice and the right fit. If a song is not ideal for a live band arrangement, we’ll always recommend the best alternative so the moment still feels exactly right.
What band sizes do you offer?
We offer a variety of band sizes and production levels depending on your budget, guest count, venue, and overall vision — from a more intimate group to a full high-energy showband experience.
How much space do you need?
We’re very flexible. Once you share your venue and setup details, we’ll confirm the ideal footprint, power needs, and any logistical notes, and we’re always happy to coordinate directly with your planner, venue, or AV team.
Do you travel outside Austin?
Yes. We perform throughout Central Texas and beyond. Travel is quoted based on distance, timing, and any lodging requirements.
What do you wear?
We tailor our attire to match the tone of your event — from standard wedding attire to black-tie. Just let us know the look you’re envisioning.
Do you act as MC and make announcements?
Yes — we’re happy to handle key announcements and formalities when needed, and we always work from your planner’s timeline and preferences.
How do we lock in the date?
We reserve your date with a signed agreement and reservation retainer. Once that’s in place, your date is officially secured.
What do you need from us to give an accurate quote?
The most helpful details are your date, venue or city, guest count, reception time window, and overall vibe. If you already have a target budget range in mind, that’s helpful too — we can recommend the best fit from there.
